Hello and Welcome!
Cape May City Elementary provides free breakfast to all students and we deliver right to the classroom! The school doors open at 8:30AM - students are tardy after 8:40AM when our school day begins. Breakfast in the classroom is available to students upon arrival starting at 8:30AM until 9:00AM.
The cost of lunch is $3.50 Please take a moment to complete and return the Free and Reduced Priced Meals application at your first convenience. Applicants that qualify for Free or Reduced Priced Meals will receive meals at no cost. Applications are available using the link above and we can also send a paper copy home to you. Eligibility in the program has been expanded through the New Jersey Expanded Income Eligibility Program. (NJEIE). Just complete the application and return it school, we will do the rest. Please call if you need any assistance with the form. I am happy to help.
We are requesting a response to the Free and Reduced Meals Application from ALL families to assure that everyone has the opportunity to qualify for the Summer Electronic Benefit Card. If you choose NOT to apply, please take a moment to check that box at the top of the application. Include your child's name and please sign and return to us. Thank you for your cooperation!!
Our school cafeteria uses a computerized system to keep track of student meal purchases and deposits. Each student has an account. Funds can be placed on the account and meal purchases will be deducted when your child is provided a lunch from the cafeteria. The menus will list daily, weekly and monthly lunch costs. Payment can be sent in with your child and will be collected in the classroom. Cash or checks can be sent. (We do not process online or credit card payments). Checks should be made payable to CMCBOE.
The dedicated team in the Cafeteria, aka the Cool School Café, is ready to provide meals for your children! Please be assured all food handling safety precautions are followed.
Breakfast is available every school day. Breakfast is served in the classroom and is available for all students upon arrival. Ordering in advance is not required and breakfast meals are free to all students! Students may also keep nonperishable breakfast foods for snack time at school or after school!
